During these stressful times, one practice that can help us manage stress is Mindfulness. The UAMS Mindfulness Program is pleased to offer a new Koru Mindfulness course in May taught by our trained Mindfulness teacher, Ellis Widner. Details below:
5:00 PM – 6:15 PM weekly on Thursday starting May 12 and ending June 2, 2022. Click on the link below to register for the course. We have limited slots.
The Koru Mindfulness (KM) course is a great introductory course to learn about the practice of Mindfulness. It includes a 75 minute group session each week for 4 weeks with a class size of up to 15 students. During each session, participants are taught Mindfulness skills, and participate in group discussions. Participants are expected to practice Mindfulness meditation for 10 minutes a day. KM also has a free app that can be downloaded to register for a course, communicate with the instructor, and also use it to practice Mindfulness skills. At the completion of the Course, you will get a more in depth knowledge of Mindfulness, learn Mindfulness skills, and more importantly be able to practice and apply Mindfulness in your daily life. You will also have access to the Koru app indefinitely.
All Classes will be held via ZOOM. The instructor will send the Zoom link to registered participants before the start of the course.
